The James Howell Foundation is pleased to participate in the 2026 World Art Foundations Global Summit, taking place January 26–27 at Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona.

The World Art Foundation global summit features panels and keynote speakers who explore how "art foundation members position themselves within the economic, financial, demographic, social, technological, environmental, and geopolitical framework." The event is held over two days with 58 speakers, including Laura Bardier, the director of the James Howell Foundation.

Bardier will join the opening panel, “Shifting Grounds: Art Foundations in an Uncertain World,” a conversation focused on how art foundations can remain adaptive, ethical, and impactful in times of global change. The discussion will bring together international leaders to reflect on stewardship, responsibility, and long-term cultural strategy.

A curator, writer, and cultural executive, Bardier has led the James Howell Foundation since 2018, expanding access to Howell’s work through exhibitions, institutional partnerships, and film initiatives. She is also the Founding Director of ESTE ARTE and serves in leadership roles with ArtTable, Independent Curators International (ICI), and Creative Capital.
