Executive Director Laura Bardier participated in The Hope Forum 2026, presented by ART 2030 during the preview days of the 61st Venice Biennale in Venice, Italy.
Thoughts of Infinity, the feature-length documentary on artist James Howell directed by Halina Dyrschka, received the Innuendo Award for Best Editing at the 2026 Innuendo Film Festival.
The James Howell Foundation was pleased to host the Vera List Center’s VLC Producers Council Spring Event, Gray Matter: A Special Matter of Intelligence, in the artist’s home and studio. The program brought together artists, scholars, and members of the VLC community for an evening of conversation centered on materiality, perception, and the intellectual and aesthetic possibilities of the color gray.
We were delighted to host the World Art Foundations for an engaging evening of conversation and connection on March 31 at the James Howell Foundation.
The program began with a thoughtful roundtable led by Laura Bardier, Executive Director of the James Howell Foundation; James Merle Thomas, Deputy Director of the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation; and Dina Giordano, Executive Director of the Grove Foundation for the Arts. Their discussion offered valuable insight into the evolving role of artist foundations today. Thank you to our speakers and to everyone who joined us for such a lively and generous exchange.
